Brittany & I went to college together and worked as lifeguards together on campus. She was always so friendly & easy to talk to. After watching her program grow on Facebook & Instagram, I thought hey what do I have to lose by giving it a try?! I fell into some bad eating habits as a result of stress that I just couldn’t pull myself out of. Brittany helped to gradually teach me about eating a balanced, nutritious diet. I think one of the best aspects of Brittany’s program is that she says “there are no bad foods!” She teaches you that you CAN have whatever you want but in moderation! Brittany always had great ideas for alternatives to certain foods like sweet cravings & how I could eat balanced while I’m at work since I’m a nurse and don’t always have the option to get in a full meal at once.

In working together in the Nutrition Coaching Program I dropped 15 pounds and lost a total of 7.75 inches! My energy, cravings, sleep mood, stress and performance all tremendously improved! I also became stronger in the gym & more lean in the process with Brittany’s coaching and her calculation of my specific macronutrient goals!

At first I was slightly apprehensive about paying someone to teach me about nutrition. But after talking with Brittany on my Discovery Call, I was excited to get started & ready to make some changes. Over the Last 9 Months I have lost 44 pounds with the help of Brittany from Your Life Nutrition!

I used to view losing weight and eating as ALL or NOTHING. Which led me to severely cutting back on carbs and the foods I enjoyed, and just lead to binging later.

Brittany taught me how to ditch the cheat days, and just acknowledge that treats can still be enjoyed in moderation, while still losing weight.

She taught me how to be more mindful about my eating and try to stop eating when I’m 80% Full which helped me to cut back in small ways at each meal.

When I first started, my only goal was to gain weight, which Brittany helped me do in a nourishing way. However, along the way, I learned about the positive effects of fueling your body properly. I had so much energy, which allowed me to be more productive during the day and have better workouts. But most importantly, I became so much happier and significantly improved my mental health. It became less about what I looked like and more about how I felt. And let me tell you, I feel very strong, powerful, confident, and very in control of my life and body.

So much of me has changed since starting Your Life Nutrition. Before I started, I don’t even know if I drank 8 oz of water a day. Now I don’t think I could live without drinking 72 ounces of water a day. I have also started eating vegetables and fruits. I no longer eat my sugary cereal for breakfast but now eat eggs, bacon, yogurt, and fruit. The best part is that I do not miss the way I was eating before, since I have seen all of the benefits. Don’t get me wrong, I do have my bad weeks (I just recently had one), and by the end of the week, I had no energy and just wanted to lay around. Once I noticed how much food affected my energy and mood, it is hard to not eat in a healthier way.

Every week, Brittany emails me to check in and see how the prior week went. Some weeks, I am sending Brittany pictures of food I am making from her Instagram or from recipes she has sent me. Some weeks, I am getting really down on myself because I did poorly. Some weeks, I am telling her about how I crushed it. No matter what happens, Brittany knows what to say. On the weeks where I am doing well, she might add one more thing to try to amp it up. On the weeks where I did not as well, she will tell me not to get down on myself, help me find the positives, and discuss ways to improve.

I like working with Your Life Nutrition because it has helped me build good habits. Initially I always felt so busy and stressed that I would grab the quickest thing I could find (typically sugary or not very nourishing) and just eat that. I now take time in the morning to make sure I eat a proper breakfast. I also build into my schedule when I will eat lunch and dinner and when I will eat my two snacks. I now carry a water bottle around all day to make sure I drink as much water as possible. Meal planning is still a “work in progress” but I feel that we are both getting 👍better at it. By the way ever since we started eating a lot healthier my wife and I spend more time at the 👨‍🍳 kitchen table eating our healthy meals LOL. Also after I got done reading the 📗book you recommended, both myself but especially my wife are much more careful with the 🥦foods we choose to eat by making sure that we are actually 🕵️reading the labels before we choose whether or not we are going to 🛒purchase a certain type of food. I have suffered with GI issues for years (GERD, gastritis, IBS). By working with Brittany, I learned what foods triggered my GI issues and how to modify my diet based on those triggers.

I first met Brittany at AU when she was a student Dietetics major, her passion for helping people was inspiring. We kept in touch after she graduated from AU and completed her Masters degree. I attended a number of her presentations at Gold’s Gym on timely topics.

Brittany provided accountability for me. She always gave positive feedback and tips for improving my diet, especially since most of my GI issues were related to stress. Brittany never judged, even if I had a week where food choices were not the best.

Brittany provided a sample week’s worth of meals that helped guide me to make better food choices. It was easy to follow and provided plenty of options to choose from.

By making healthier choices I have seen an improvement in my workouts, especially running, and less episodes of GI issues. My highest weight was 208 and now I am proud to say I’m down to 185!

Brittany is great! She knows what she’s talking and was able to cater a dietary / nutritional plan to fit my needs. I enjoy doing triathletes and was trying to lose a certain amount of weight without depriving my body of the nutrients and fuel needed to get through the hard training sessions and races. I had put on 20 pounds over the last 8 years and could not get it off. Brittany was very positive at that first meeting and pointed out everything I was doing right.
